Mrs. Kathy Coleman, Academic Advisor of YLAP, arrived in Yichang from Massachusetts on December 4th for a week of curriculum evaluation. During the week, Mrs. Coleman observed AP classes and shared her expertise in teaching strategies and curriculum design with AP teachers at YLAP. She also held a Q&A session on college application with the students. The purpose of Mrs. Coleman's visit and evaluation is to make sure that YLAP provides rigorous AP curriculum for students and applies the AP-style teaching in classrooms.
Mrs. Coleman is an AP English teacher and supervisor with over 45 years of experience at high school and college level. She is an AP reader and AP presenter and has taught at Lexington and Harvard Schools in Massachusetts in the United States. Together with Mr. Larry Weathers, who is the K-12 science coordinator in Arlington, Belmont and Harvard Schools in Massachusetts, Mrs. Coleman has been providing valuable advice and guidance to YLAP and its teachers ever since its inception.
